ZamLED
Light up a word.
ZamLED · Montréal
3D-printed lit letters, made in Montréal
ZamLED makes custom lit signs as channel letters: every letter is a 3D-printed shell 40 mm deep, with a strip of smart LEDs inside and a diffusing face on the front. The word lights up an even white or cycles through colours, with no hot spots and no visible wiring.
You design the sign right here: one or two words or your logo, one of 67 fonts, the letter height, shell and face colours, lighting and mounting. The 3D preview shows exactly what gets printed, and the price updates as you adjust.
What you get
One piece, ready to hang
The letters are printed, glued together, wired and tested in the workshop. The sign arrives assembled, with keyhole slots hidden in the back so it hangs on two screws like a picture frame.
Smart LEDs
The addressable LED strip inside does plain white, a fixed colour or a moving rainbow. The controller and power supply are included; the sign plugs into an ordinary wall outlet.
Your colours, your font
Shell and face in different filament colours, an accent colour on chosen letters if you like, and script, retro or modern fonts picked because they print well.
An unlit version
The same letters without lighting, for a shelf or a well-lit wall. Cheaper, and LEDs can be added later.
How it works
Design
Type your word or upload an SVG logo, pick the font, size and colours. No account, no payment.
Get your quote
The sign is checked by hand and you get a quote by email, with a picture of your sign lit up and a link to accept it.
Accept and reserve
When you accept, you choose pickup in Montréal or shipping, and a 50% card deposit reserves your spot in the print queue.
Printing, then hand-over
You hear from us at every step. The balance is due when the sign is ready, online or at pickup; shipped signs leave as soon as it is paid.
Questions people ask
- How much does a lit sign cost?
- From $220.00 before tax for 5 letters 15 cm high, then $35.00 per extra letter. The price grows with letter height, because material and print time grow with the area. The estimate shows in the designer while you adjust; the quote confirms it.
- What sizes are possible?
- Letter height runs from 60 mm up to what the print bed allows for the chosen font, usually around 25 cm for one letter. The total width can pass 1 metre: the letters print in several pieces that are glued into one sign. Every sign is 40 mm deep.
- Can I use my logo?
- Yes. Upload an SVG file with text converted to outlines. Filled shapes and strokes become lit channels; parts that do not touch get a small bridge so the sign stays one piece. Thin lines need a bigger size.
- How is the sign powered?
- By a power supply that plugs into an ordinary wall outlet, included with the LED controller. The cable leaves the sign on the side you choose, left or right seen from the front.
- Is it for indoors or outdoors?
- Indoors: living room, kid's room, shop, office, bar. The printed plastic and the electronics are not made for rain or full sun.
- Do you ship across Canada?
- Yes. Free pickup in the Montréal area, or shipping by post anywhere in Canada for $25.00, added to the quote when you choose shipping. The sign travels flat and well padded.
- How long does it take?
- Count on one to three weeks between accepting the quote and a ready sign, depending on size and the print queue. The exact lead time is in your quote, and you get an email when printing starts and when the sign is ready.
- How does payment work?
- A 50% deposit by card (Stripe) when you accept the quote, the balance when the sign is ready, online or in person at pickup. Nothing is printed before you accept.
- Can I change the light colour later?
- Yes. The LEDs are addressable: white, a fixed colour or effects, chosen on the controller. The shell and face colours are the printed filament and are chosen when you order.
- Can I get a sign without lights?
- Yes, pick "No LEDs" in the designer. The same letters print without strip, controller or power supply, at a lower price, and can be fitted later.
No payment now. You get a quote by email before anything is printed.
